Vegetarians and vegans eat well- there is a healthy selection of vegetarian restaurants to choose from.

DID YOU KNOW?

Halifax is the birthplace of ‘THE’ DONAIR. Haligonians love their donairs  and they prefer them ‘with everything’. The most famous Donair vendor in Halifax is King of Donair, which is widely considered the food’s birthplace.

Poutine was first created in Quebec, Canada. The traditional storyis that poutine originated in the 1950s in Warwick, Quebec, at a restaurant called Le Lutin qui rit. Upon being asked to add cheese curds to a customer’s fries, owner Fernand Lachance responded, “Çava faire unemaudite poutine,” or, “That’s going to make a dreadful mess.”

What clients are saying

We visited Moore Suites as a cheaper alternative to booking two hotel rooms for a one month stay. The apartment was spacious, immaculately clean, had a lovely little balcony and was well stocked with tea, coffee and washing up items. Far nicer to come back to than any hotel room we have stayed at in Halifax, and we visit at least once a year. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Within a one minute walk to Spring Garden, the location was great! This will definitely be the preferred choice next time.

The suite was very cosy and spacious. We’d like to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the Charterhouse and how much we have appreciated your help and kindness.

- Diane

Just wanted to thank you for being so pleasant with me and for renting out the beautiful apartment. Even though my husband and I are not in Halifax for a pleasure trip, we appreciated living in such a high-end residence. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

- Christine

I would like to say how much I enjoyed my stay in apartment 401 Waterfront Place. I stayed for a month while working in Halifax. The suite is amazing and the view, day and night, is spectacular. I will highly recommend staying here.

- Linda

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! We enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend your location to anyone who asks. We very well may be back some day and will definitely look for availability here due to the accommodations, location, cleanliness of the rooms and the kindness of the staff. Thank you, it was a trip of a lifetime.

Our stay back home has been wonderful. I just wish it could have been longer. We really enjoyed our stay at your suite at the Paramount. So many thoughtful details put into the suite; there wasn’t anything we lacked. The view of the Public Gardens was most enjoyable, as well as the convenience of this location. I hope to come back next summer!
